Job summary

NHC Place Sumner in Gallatin, TN is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to join our care team in a full-time capacity. The role supports residents across long term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care environments.

Shift coverage runs from 7pm to 7am, with duties including personal care, meal assistance, vital signs, and documentation. A team-focused attitude and dedication to resident well-being are valued at our facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in long term care, skilled nursing and/or long-term care experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care) daily and as needed.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output and other information as assigned.
• Prepare residents for meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas and ensure a clean environment.
• Report changes in resident condition to Charge Nurse and document observations.
