Job summary

The Gilbert Residence is seeking a Part Time Resident Assistant for day shift to support residents with daily living activities and provide compassionate care in a supportive living environment.

The successful candidate will assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, and daily routines while promoting safety and dignity. Weekend availability and strong communication are essential, with training provided to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate (preferred)
• Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's care preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to understand/take directions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Positive attitude
• Must be reliable
• Must have weekend availability

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, toileting, and grooming
• Assist residents with use of walkers, wheelchairs and canes
• Measure intake and output
• Perform range of motion exercises
• Practice standard precautions and special isolation techniques
• Report any changes with residents or important information to supervisor
• Promote resident safety and rights
• Practice effective communication techniques with residents, visitors and co-workers
• Participate in training activities
• Charting
• Light Cleaning
