Woodhaven Village is seeking a Resident Care Assistant to provide compassionate physical and psychosocial care to residents. You will assist with daily living activities, move residents safely, and collaborate with a team to maintain a warm, family-like atmosphere.

The role emphasizes empathy, professional conduct, and timely reporting of changes in condition to the Wellness Director. Various benefits accompany full-time employment, including daily pay and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
• Satisfactory completion of Resident Assistant skills competency checklist.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents promoting dignity and individuality.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, hygiene, mobility).
• Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with residents and families.
• Report suspected abuse to licensed staff immediately.
• Utilize safe transfer techniques for resident mobility.
• Escort residents and coordinate internal transportation needs.
• Observe changes in residents’ condition and report to Wellness Director or supervisor.
• Document provision of services on company forms.
• Respond to emergencies in a prompt and calm manner and report to supervisor.
