Job summary

The Resident Assistant position at Great Lakes Management in Bloomington, MN offers the opportunity to provide hands-on care, support daily living activities, and maintain open communication with residents and families.

You will assist in dining, participate in activities, document care and changes, follow service agreements, and work with the nursing team to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the casemanager
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
