Galleria Woods Senior Living in Hoover, Alabama is seeking a Resident Care Assistant for full-time or part-time roles in a 24-bed assisted living community. Shifts include 6 a.m.–2 p.m. and 2 p.m.–10 p.m., with every other weekend and PRN options available.

The role focuses on preserving dignity and independence for residents while ensuring safety and compassionate care. Candidates need at least 1 year of CNA experience, Alabama CNA certification preferred, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to pass

Formación

• One year or more of experience as a CNA or in a related caregiving role.
• Passion for working with older adults.
• Excellent attendance and dependability.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility and transfers per individualized plans.
• Escort residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the community.
• Serve meals in dining room or resident apartments.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition, eating habits, or behavior.
• Promote a safe, comfortable, and caring environment.
• Provide services in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations.

Position Details

• Position: Resident Care Assistant full time 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and every other weekend. Part-Time 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., Every Other Weekend. PRN Days/Evenings and nights.
• Unit: 24-Bed Assisted Living Community
• Pay Rate: $12.50 – $13.25 per hour

What You’ll Do

As a Resident Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life by:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Supporting residents with mobility and transfers according to individualized service plans
• Escorting residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the community
• Serving meals in the dining room or resident apartments
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical condition, eating habits, or behavior
• Promoting a safe, comfortable, and caring environment
• Providing services in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations

Qualifications

Preferred

• Current Alabama CNA certification
• CPR and First Aid certification

Required

• One year or more of experience as a CNA, Resident Care Assistant, or in a related caregiving role
• A genuine passion for working with older adults
• Excellent attendance and dependability
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
