Pay Range

Pay or shift range: $16 USD to $18 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide residents with routine daily care by assisting with direct and indirect resident care duties, as directed by the charge nurse and/or certified nursing assistants.

  1. Assist residents with dressing and personal hygiene.
  2. Support CNAs with residents requiring 2-staff transfers, excluding mechanical transfers.
  3. Make occupied beds.
  4. Assist in obtaining weights.
  5. Provide full or partial bed baths.
  6. Perform incontinent care for residents who can move in bed.
  7. Assist residents not at risk for swallowing or aspiration with meals.
  8. Pass, set up, and collect trays.
  9. Ensure belongings within residents’ reach (call light, glasses, TV remote, etc.).
  10. Respond promptly to call bells.
  11. Make unoccupied beds.
  12. Empty commodes and urinals.
  13. Transport residents to dining for meals.
  14. Accompany residents on outside appointments as needed.
  15. Provide 1:1 supportive interactions, such as reading mail, newspapers, or books; transporting residents for outdoor visits, activities, hairdresser appointments; assisting with writing letters and making phone calls.
  16. Assist residents with communication involving technology (Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, Google Meet, etc.).
  17. Stock personal care items and gather supplies for care.
  18. Distribute drinks and nourishments, encouraging residents to stay hydrated and nourished.
  19. Report residents’ intake to Team Leaders.
  20. Check fall precautions and clean wheelchairs after meals or incontinent episodes.
  21. Maintain cleanliness of tub and shower rooms.
  22. Greet and assist newly admitted residents, receive paperwork, and inform the Unit Manager/Charge Nurse of arrivals.
  23. Assist with inventory of new admissions and coordinate diagnostic appointments.
  24. Direct visitors and handle photocopying and faxing needs.
