Job summary

Navion Senior Solutions is seeking a caring Resident Care Aide for part-time 2nd shift at The Reserve at Mills Farm in Mills Farm, NC. You will support residents with daily activities and build meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or per state regulations.
• Must have an 80-hour personal care training certificate.
• Experience with seniors is preferred and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and incontinence care.
• Prepare residents for meals and activities; assist in dining room and clear tables.
• Respond to resident emergency call system and report changes to care staff.
• Document and communicate changes to residents’ condition per policies.
• Maintain resident care documentation and transport residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Prepare residents for meals, snacks and activities.
• Assist residents in dining room including serving meals and clearing tables.
• Respond to resident emergency call system.
• Observe, document and report to Resident Care Coordinator or their designee any changes to residents’ condition.
• Communicate with residents and family members in a polite, professional manner.
• Maintain required resident care documentation per State regulations and Navion Senior Solutions policies and procedures.
• Transport residents when required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma/GED accepted and may be required per state regulations.
• Must have 80-hour personal care training certificate.
• Positive attitude, the flexibility to perform various duties in service to the residents and the ability to work in a team environment are keys to success.
• Dedication to and passion to serve seniors with excellent customer service skills.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Ability to make choices, decisions and act in the resident’s best interest.
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and a level of understanding.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
