Job summary

Navion Senior Solutions in Apex, NC is seeking Certified Medication Technicians with experience as a Resident Aide to support medication administration and resident care oversight in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course and test.
• Personal Care Assistant or CNA experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.
• Promotes and protects residents rights and treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Attends in-service and continuing education required by state regulations.
• Demonstrates the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintains professional appearance by adherence to community dress code.
• Documentation is completed in an informative and descriptive manner.
• All changes in a resident’s condition are reported to the supervisor.
• Work schedules and assigned tasks are completed in accordance to the community’s policies and procedures.
• Operates equipment safely and uses only trained equipment.
• Infection control precautions and practices are used with all activities.
• Follows fire and emergency procedures and reports safety violations.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course & test.
• Personal Care Assistant or ever been a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families and staff members.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
