Job summary

Twin-Oaks-Health- is seeking a Domestic Aide to provide non-clinical domestic services to nursing home residents who do not require direct patient care. You will answer call lights, assist with dining, pass trays, and help keep rooms clean and organized under supervision.

This temporary role requires obtaining CNA certification within six months, basic English, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must obtain CNA certification within six months.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays as needed.
• Must be able to lift and assist residents using transfer methods.

Responsibilities

• Answer call lights promptly and courteously.
• Pass trays in dining room and to residents in rooms.
• Pass drinking water and ice.
• Strip and remake bed linens as directed.
• Report observations to supervisor and record nourishment intake as directed.
• Help orient new residents to the facility.
• Keep rooms tidy and label personal toiletries.
• Clean equipment such as bedpans, wheelchairs, and IV poles.
• Monitor compliance with safety and resident-rights regulations.
