Job summary

National Church Residences in Ohio seeks a NonCNA/NonSTNA to provide direct care to residents in the Senior Living division. Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, you will assist with activities of daily living and support residents to maintain or improve function.

The role is non-exempt and reports to the Charge Nurse. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of experience preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or currently enrolled in a program to achieve preferred education.
• Two to four years preferred.
• Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.

Responsibilities

• Performs/assists with resident direct care needs and daily living activities.
• Measures and records vitals; assistance with weights, measures and documentation; respond to call lights.
• Maintains cleanliness of resident rooms and assist with admissions/training as assigned.
• Documents resident information timely and confidentially according to procedures.
• Adheres to safety and infection control policies; reports equipment needs or repairs.
• Provides food service support during meals and records intake.
