Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Universal Worker to assist residents with daily care, mobility, hygiene, meals and activities. The role requires attentiveness to changes in residents and prompt reporting to supervisors. CPR certification is required; CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of some high school or equivalent courses.
• None, on-the-job training provided.
• Active and unexpired CPR certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• A familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population.
• Previous elder care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all care needs including toileting, ambulation, bathing, dressing, hygiene, escorting and transfers.
• Reports changes in resident condition to appropriate supervisor.
• Assists in dining room during meals: setting up, taking orders, serving and cleaning.
• Helps residents attend scheduled activities and accompanies them as needed.
• Cares for residents and helps prepare them for appointments and daily routines.
