Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and accounts receivable within healthcare.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and insurance processes.
• Familiarity with long-term care billing and resident trust accounts.
• Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Proficiency with Excel and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Process Medicare, Medicaid, private-pay billing and other insurance billing.
• Prepare and process monthly resident billing statements.
• Enter monthly resident charges and services for accurate revenue capture.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent balances.
• Communicate with residents/families about outstanding balances and payment plans.
• Assist with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Maintain resident trust accounts and process deposits/disbursements.
• Support audits and surveys with accurate documentation.
