Job summary

Community First Solutions is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide person-centered care and support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being. The role includes helping with daily activities, companionship, and collaborating with the care team at the Westover location.

The position is part-time (2 days per week, 6:30 am–3:00 pm) with every-other-weekend rotation. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive quality interactions to residents focused on interpersonal relationships and quality of life.
• Assist nurse with managing, treating, and responding to resident care needs.
• Assist residents with daily hygiene activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
• Assist residents with mobility including lifting, positioning, and transporting.
• Answer resident calls promptly and professionally.
• Assist residents with daily meals and feeding.
• Observe residents and note physical condition, mood, appetite; escalate concerns to supervisor.
• Come to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality.

• Observe residents and note their physical condition, attitude, reactions, appetite, etc. Spend as much time listening as talking. Share resident/family concerns and any changes in the resident’s condition with your supervisor.
