Job summary

American House Senior Living Communities is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to support seniors with daily living activities and social engagement. You will help residents live with dignity and comfort in a warm community setting.

You will work closely with leadership to monitor health changes, assist with ADLs, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Experience in caregiving or healthcare is preferred, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• A passion for serving seniors and a compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Previous caregiving, senior living, or healthcare experience required.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25–50 lbs as needed for resident care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report observations to leadership.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities, programs, and social events.
• Follow individualized care plans to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident apartments and common areas.
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Support new resident orientation and help them feel welcome in the community.
