Job summary

Western Home Communities is seeking a caring Resident Assistant/Medication Manager to join our award-winning team in Cedar Falls, IA. You’ll provide compassionate care, assist with activities of daily living, and support nurses and the care team in a family-like atmosphere at our renovated Assisted Living facility.

As a Medication Manager, you’ll handle medication duties once certified, ensuring accuracy and adherence to resident care plans.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CNA license in Iowa and be willing to obtain Medication Manager certification.
• Experience in direct care is preferred but not required.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under nurse supervision and support the team.
• Assist with daily activities and personal care (bathing, dressing, transferring, hygiene).
• Support with organizing, cleaning, laundry, meals and other tasks as assigned.
• Respond promptly to residents' calls and document interactions in care plan charts.
• With Medication Manager certification, prepare and administer medications per protocol.
