Job summary

Vivie is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to support residents with daily activities, meal support, and social engagement. You’ll help residents live with dignity and joy in a warm, safe home environment, reporting changes to nursing staff and coordinating with the care team.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers hourly pay from $18.50 to $23.65, benefits, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. Shifts include early mornings and every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver or similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a state background study.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Schedule: Full Time | 63 hours/pay period | 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Includes every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant At Vivie, You Will

This Job Also Requires

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
