Job summary

American House Senior Living Communities is seeking a Resident Assistant for both day and night shifts in Murfreesboro, TN. This role supports seniors with daily living activities, fosters social engagement, and helps maintain a safe, welcoming community.

As part of the wellness team, you will follow individualized care plans, assist with meals and mobility, and build meaningful relationships with residents and families. Paid training and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for serving seniors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Previous caregiving, senior living, or healthcare experience required.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25–50 lbs as needed for resident care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report observations to leadership.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities, programs, and social events.
• Follow individualized care plans to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident apartments and common areas.
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Support new resident orientation and help them feel welcome in the community.
