Job summary

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, completed a state-approved PCA program, and is able to lift up to 50 lbs. CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be in designated uniform during working hours, with name badge.
• Must attend in-services and staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident apartments and common areas.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Check on residents and report status or concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Communicate resident status and upcoming information to staff and families.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and emotional support.
