Job summary

The Resident Assistant position at Great Lakes Management in Bloomington, MN offers part-time hours with a competitive hourly wage of $17.00 to $25.00. You will provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents, following each resident’s service agreement and communicating with families and the case manager.

Key duties include assisting with ADLs, supporting dining and activities, documenting daily progress, and coordinating with the registered nurse for care plans.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL’s as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the casemanager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
