Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant for the Bloomington site. Work hours are 10pm-6am with a pay range of $17-$25 per hour. Location is Amira Choice Bloomington.

The role focuses on hands-on care, communication with residents and families, and collaboration with nursing staff. Qualifications include at least six months in long-term care or assisted living (preferred) and nursing assistant certifications (preferred). Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on the service plan.
• Help residents achieve and maintain highest possible level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the service plan.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as needed.
• Complete required documentation daily and maintain schedules and communication books.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands-on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. Responsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilitie s:

• Assist residents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to the case manager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications:
