Ebenezer's Fountains at Hosanna in Lakeville seeks a caring aide to provide personal care and health-related services, enhancing residents' wellbeing in a supportive, casual role. You’ll assist with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, and medications under RN direction, and document changes per care plans.

This role emphasizes compassionate interaction, safety, and teamwork with licensed staff, with opportunities for growth within our senior living community in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• 1 year caregiver experience is required.
• Ability to use technology (computers, handheld devices, cell phones, fax) for documentation and communication.
• If under 18, MN NA registry restrictions apply and cannot pass medications or operate a mechanical lift.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting).
• Assist with mobility and transfers and use of lifting devices under RN direction.
• Administer or assist with medications under RN supervision and record vitals as directed.
• Deliver meals, assist with meal service, and support social/recreational activities.

This is a casual role!

This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents' physical and emotional wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
• Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Hair care
• Feeding
• Toileting
• Escorts
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)
• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Performs specified home services:
• Performs laundry service per schedule.
• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.
• Delivers meal trays.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• 1 year caregiver experience
• Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines
• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and site must be able to manage restrictions that they are not able to pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years experience
