Job summary

Kisco Senior Living's Woodland Terrace in Cary, NC is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and help create a welcoming community where each person feels valued and cared for.

You will work a full-time 7a-7p shift in memory care, engaging residents with activities, monitoring well-being, and assisting with mobility and daily tasks. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA/PCA certification preferred
• Previous caregiving or senior living experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, dining, and mobility.
• Encourage independence while providing compassionate, individualized support.
• Monitor resident well-being and promptly report any changes in condition.
• Provide companionship and build positive, trusting relationships with residents.
• Support residents with assistive devices such as walkers, wheelchairs, and hearing aids.
• Respond to emergencies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Document care and services accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the care team to support individualized service plans.
• Promote resident participation in wellness programs and social activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including maintaining resident rooms and common areas.
• Support resident laundry and daily living needs as assigned
• Assist with front desk responsibilities, including answering phones and greeting visitors as needed
• Participate in community events and contribute to a positive resident experience
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant course preferred
• Previous caregiving or senior living experience is a plus
• Compassionate, patient, and service-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans and procedures
• Basic computer skills and comfort with documentation systems
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Requirements

• First Aid and CPR certification (as required)
• Must meet all state-required training and certification requirements
• CNA certification or PCA certification
