Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking compassionate Resident Assistants to support residents with daily living activities. Join a team dedicated to person-centered care in our welcoming Ohio communities, where teamwork, dignity, and respect guide every interaction and every care plan. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour and increases with experience.

Shifts available: 1st (PT), 2nd (FT/PT), 3rd (PT). Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, cheerful care to residents.
• Assist residents with ADLs including teeth care, toileting, bathing, incontinence and dressing.
• Support transfers and ambulation as directed by the nurse in charge.
• Coordinate with the care team to meet resident needs.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls from Independent Living residents.

Pay: Starting from $15.00increases with experience

Responsibilities

• Provide encouragement and high-quality care in a cheerful, timely manner
• Assist residents with ADLs, including teeth care, toileting, bathing, incontinence and dressing in a caring and supportive manner as needed per resident
• Provide supervision, cueing or other non-weight-bearing assistance related to transfer ambulation as needed per resident
• Roll carts, laundry hampers and other equipment safely through work and resident areas
• Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with resident needs and team structure
• Work as a team under the supervision and direction of the nurse in charge
• Quickly respond to emergency calls from Independent Living residents as directed by the nurse in charge

Qualifications

• Education:High school diploma/GED
• Certification: First Aid Course
