Job summary

Tel Hai, a nonprofit retirement community in Honey Brook, PA, seeks a Resident Assistant for full-time night or part-time evening shifts. Earn up to $21.96/hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Join a vibrant Lakeview Personal Care team and enjoy extensive benefits and flexible hours.

• Supports residents health with BP checks, dietary supplements, exercise encouragement, and illness assistance.
• Aids residents in meeting social and recreational needs, escorts to activities and letters.
• Assists with meals, menu choices, dietary needs, and service coordination.

• Full Time Night 10:45pm-7:15am (64 hours/2 week pay period including every other weekend and holiday.)

Resident Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Assists residents with personal hygiene & tasks of daily living.
• Provides for resident safety: accident prevention, safety awareness, resident count at mealtime, rounds, and evacuation in an emergency.
• Assists residents in maintaining health with accurate blood pressure checks, prescribed dietary supplements, encouragement of exercise and participation in activities, and extra assistance during the resident illness.
• Assists residents in meeting their social and recreational needs: provide reminders of activities and escorts residents to planned activities, encourages socialization, and assists with letter writing.
• Provides assistance to residents at meals, with menu selection appropriate for prescribed diets, cutting off food, storing walkers, and procuring of services of the waitstaff.

Resident Assistant Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or PA NA Registration (CNA) required.
• Caregiving experience preferred.
• Dementia experience preferred.
