Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care for residents in a long-term care or assisted living setting. You’ll assist with daily activities, support emotional well-being, and participate in dining and activities as part of a compassionate care team.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to communicate with residents, families, and the care team. A CNA or equivalent registration is preferred, with a 2nd shift differential and meals provided.

Qualificações

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .
