Job Overview

Welcome to The Pillars of Grand Rapids, opened in early 2022 in Grand Rapids, MN. Conveniently located near Highways 2, 169, and adjacent to Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital, gives peace of mind with a high standard of medical care nearby. The beautiful scenery of the Mississippi River and the Sylvan trail head are just a few of these city's perks. Managed by Ebenezer, our community will provide independent senior living, assisted living, and memory care. We offer an age-in-place model, where our residents choose apartments and services based on their needs.

We are looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide who will provide personal care to improve and/or maintain the senior assisted living residents’ physical and emotional well-being for our Assisted Living community in Grand Rapids, MN!

This caregiver schedule includes:

• 24 hours every two weeks; part-time
• Day shift
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal care including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.
• Under the direction of a Nurse, provides health-related services as needed such as passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
• May perform duties that include laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Assists with onboarding of new staff.

Required Skills

• Ability to communicate optimally, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers.
• Ability to work in a team setting and support others.
• Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population.
• CNA certification if under 18 years old.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills

• High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course.
• Previous work experience as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA.

Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package with excellent benefits and hourly wages ranging from $21.32 - $29.57 / hour. Wage determinations will be based on similar experience.
