Description

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing tenants with high-quality, routine care in daily activities, under supervision of licensed nursing staff and in accordance with the Service Plan, MDH Nursing Assistant Program standards, the Tenant’s Bill of Rights, and the campus QAPI program. RAs apply skills in basic nursing, personal care, and restorative services, understanding mental health and social service needs, especially for cognitively impaired tenants. They are part of the interdisciplinary team promoting independence and well-being.

The Resident Assistant may be trained to administer medication and provide tenants with medications as needed.
