Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant in Bloomington, MN. The role provides hands-on care, support with activities of daily living, and emotional assistance to residents according to each service agreement.

Applicants should have at least six months in long-term care or assisted living, and preferably be registered as a CNA/NHA. The job includes benefits, daily pay options, and a chef-prepared meal on each shift.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .
