Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant to provide hands-on physical and emotional care to residents under service agreements. You will assist in dining, participate in activities, and communicate changes to the case manager.

Shifts run 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm, and 4:00pm-10:00pm with a PM differential of $1.00. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, plus benefits including a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .
