Job summary

Smith Farms Senior Living Facility in Auburn, IN is seeking part-time care staff to support residents with daily living activities and medication administration. The role emphasizes safety, independence, and compassionate, family-like care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Administer medications and injections as per medical charts and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and perform light housekeeping.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
• Observe residents for changes and report to supervisor promptly.
• Document medications and care accurately in charts and logs.
• Meet meal times, assist with eating, and support residents’ independence.
• Support team members with tasks and duties as needed.
• Complete required documentation and charting in a timely manner.
• Respond to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly.

As a care staff and med tech, you will be helping our residents with their daily care as well as assisting with their medication administration. Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
