Job summary

Macatawa Senior Living in Holland, MI is seeking a compassionate Resident Aide to support residents with daily living activities, companionship, and safety. You will work as part of a caring team to deliver high-quality care in a respectful environment.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, reliability, and a desire to improve residents' quality of life through patience, empathy, and teamwork. Training provided; weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with care needs, such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
• Encouraging resident involvement within the community.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the environment through light housekeeping.
• Assessing for changes in resident condition and communicating immediately to supervisor.
• Completing all required documentation and charting.
• Communicating professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.
• Complying with safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Performing other assigned duties as directed by supervisor.
