Job summary

MediLodge of Milford is seeking a Resident Aide to join our caring team in Milford, Michigan. This entry-level role supports the Nursing Department with daily resident care and helps maintain a safe, comfortable living environment for residents.

No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training and growth opportunities. You’ll assist with activities of daily living, help with meals, and transport residents as needed, contributing to a meaningful, rewarding career at MediLodge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong communication with residents and families.
• Ability to perform basic daily living activities and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Make residents’ beds.
• Label resident clothing and belongings.
• Distribute personal and facility laundry.
• Pass meal trays and assist with basic tray setup; assist with feeding if needed.
• Serve meals and clear dishes in the dining room.
• Transport/escort residents within the facility.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Summary

The Resident Aide provides support and assistance to Nursing Department and staff.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Essential Functions

• Makes residents’ beds.
• Labels resident clothing and belongings.
• Distributes personal and facility laundry.
• Passes meal trays and offers basic tray set-up. May assist with feeding, if competency demonstrated.
• Serves food and buses dishes in the dining? room.
• Transports/escorts residents to areas within the facility, e.g. dining areas, activities, residentcare conferences, etc.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to communicate effective with residents and their family members.
• Ability to learn infection control techniques.
• Ability to be patient and polite.
