Job summary

MediLodge of Gaylord seeks a Nurse Aide in training to join our caring team in Gaylord, KS. This role supports the Nursing Department and aids residents with daily activities while you work toward certification.

Training is paid by the employer, and no prior experience is required. Once certified, you will continue to grow within a supportive setting that emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required; employer pays for CNA training.

Responsibilities

• Makes residents’ beds and labels clothing.
• Passes meal trays and assists with basic tray setup; may help with feeding.
• Serves meals and clears dishes in dining areas.
• Transports/escorts residents within the facility to various areas.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Nursing Department.

Summary:

The Non-Certified Nurse Aide provides support and assistance to Nursing Department and staff.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Makes residents’ beds.
• Labels resident clothing and belongings.
• Passes meal trays and offers basic tray set-up. May assist with feeding, if competency demonstrated.
• Serves food and buses dishes in the dining room.
• Transports/escorts residents to areas within the facility, e.g. dining areas, activities, resident care conferences, etc.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members.
• Ability to learn infection control techniques.
• Ability to be patient and polite.
