Job summary

The Pearl at Ft. Lauderdale is seeking an Activity Recreation Aide to support residents' well-being through engaging and therapeutic activities. The role collaborates with the inter-disciplinary team to plan and execute programs that stimulate physical and mental health.

Ideal candidates are engaging, personable, with excellent communication, creativity and empathy. Prior experience is preferred but not required, and training will be provided to develop personalized activity plans.

Qualifications

• Assist in evaluating resident's recreational needs and developing activity programs upon admission relating to past and current interests.
• Promotes a physically and sensory stimulating environment to increase functioning levels.
• Prepares and participates in individual and group activities as scheduled daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for special events and seasonal parties.
• Participates in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms and 1:1 visits are mandatory.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
