Job summary

The Pearl of Hinsdale is seeking a dedicated Activity Aide to support the center's activity and recreational programs for patients. This full-time role includes assisting in developing and delivering activities, coordinating group and individual sessions, arts and crafts, and religious and educational activities to enhance patient well‑being.

You will maintain patient activity documentation, follow approvals and policies, and collaborate with the Director to promote participation and meaningful

• Ability to encourage patient participation in group and individual activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing activity documentation in line with regulatory requirements and policies.

Description:

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to supports the effort of the Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing of activity/recreational services to address the individualized needs and interests of the overall patient population within the center. This is a Full-Time Position working various days during the week and will work every Sunday.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and delivery of activity/recreational programs to promote the patients' opportunities for engaging in normal life enhancement pursuits and to increase and/or maintain functioning levels.
• Maintains precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourages patient participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, recreational activities etc.
• Assists in completing activity documentation, when needed, if trained and in conjunction with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with course work in recreation is desirable; Completion of a state approved activity training course is preferred but not required
• Previous experience in leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, intellectual/educational activities, community outings, etc., desired.
