Job summary

Merriam Gardens Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center seeks an Activity Aide-FT to create engaging activities that promote residents' physical, emotional, and social well‑being, while supporting care plans.

You will collaborate with the rehab team, document participation and progress, assist with mealtimes and transport when needed, and help foster a welcoming, resident‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Capable of assisting residents with mobility as needed.
• Commitment to resident safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Coordinate activities with the rehabilitation team for treatment plans.
• Maintain records of resident participation and progress.
• Build relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Participate in daily care conferences and care planning.
• Provide support to other departments during mealtime, transportation, and medication tasks.
