Troy Rehabilitation and Rehab Center in Troy, OH is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to join our team. You will plan, organize, and lead engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being for residents.

Responsibilities include planning daily programs, leading group and one-on-one activities, enabling participation, transporting residents as needed, preparing spaces for events, maintaining supplies, documenting participation, and collaborating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in long-term care, recreation, or activities preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily activity programs for residents.
• Lead group and one-on-one activities such as games, crafts, exercise, music, and social events.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
• Help decorate and prepare areas for special events and holidays.
• Maintain activity supplies and equipment.
• Document participation and resident responses as required.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and care staff to meet resident needs.
