As a part-time Activities Assistant at Buckeye Commons Care & Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in creating engaging experiences for our residents. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help foster a sense of community and fulfillment for our residents, while also supporting our mission to deliver exceptional care.
Plan and coordinate activities, games, and events for residents, including arts and crafts, exercise programs, and social gatherings
Develop and maintain relationships with residents to understand their interests and needs
Collaborate with other team members to plan and implement events and activities
Encourage resident participation and socialization through various activities
Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation
Participate in care conferences and provide input on resident care plans
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy or related field preferred
Ability to work part-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with seniors and individuals with varying abilities
Familiarity with activity planning and coordination
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
