Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services' Town and Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boerne, TX is seeking an Activity Aide to assist the Activity Director in planning, coordinating, and directing residents' activity programs.

You will collaborate to organize events for both residents and staff, facilitate individual and group activities, help with calendar preparation and posting, and assist with the facility newsletter.

Qualifications

• A school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
• A Certified Nurse Aide is preferred.
• Previous experience working in activity or recreational department in the long-term care industry or related industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group activities based on the residents' needs.
• Coordinate scheduling of beauty parlor and barber activities.
• Document resident activity participation and maintain appropriate records.
• Prepare monthly calendar and post for residents and visitors; ensure accessibility.
• Assist with generating the facility newsletter.
• Participate in community events related to the facility's interests.
• Attend in-services as necessary.
• Assist residents to and from activities.
• Support Residents’ Council and night/weekend activities as needed.
• Deliver resident mail daily.
