Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services in Brownsville, TX is seeking an Activity Aide to assist the Activity Director in planning, coordinating, and directing residents’ activity programs. The role collaborates with staff to organize events for residents and the facility.

Qualifications

• A school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
• Certified Nurse Aide is preferred.
• Experience in activity or recreational departments in the long-term care industry or related industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group activities based on residents' needs.
• Ensure activities occur for both high and low functioning residents.
• Assist with scheduling beauty parlor and barber activities.
• Provide one-to-one activities for bedfast residents and document appropriately.
• Prepare monthly calendars and post in accessible areas; share with residents.
• Assist with generating the facility newsletter and participate in community events.
• Attend in-services as necessary and assist residents to activities.
• Support Residents’ Council and night/weekend activities as needed.
• Deliver resident mail daily.
