Job summary

Victorian Senior Care in Asheboro, NC is seeking an Activities Coordinator to develop and coordinate engaging programs for residents in an Assisted Living Community. You will plan and post monthly calendars, coordinate group and individual activities, and assist with outings while ensuring safety and confidentiality.

You will maintain inventories, work with staff and families, and participate in ongoing education as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid NC driver's license and driving experience as required by liability insurance.
• Ability to lift, push or pull a minimum of 50 pounds and operate safety policies.
• Capable of reading, writing, and following directions with clear communication.
• A two-step TB test is required before hire and a second test within two weeks.
• Must maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to all policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate activities to promote resident involvement in the community.
• Maintain a written residents' interest list and plan 14+ hours of activities weekly.
• Prepare and post monthly activity calendars in large print.
• Plan social, recreational, diversional, and intellectual activities and outings.
• Assist residents with transportation related to activities and outings.
• Keep inventory of supplies and manage budget per policy.
• Ensure safety, dignity and confidentiality of residents.
• Report incidents and collaborate with ED/Administrator and staff.

Skills

Valid NC Driver's License

8+ years driving experience

Lift 50 pounds

Read, write and follow directions

Strong written and verbal skills

Computer skills

TB test (two-step)

Education

High School Diploma or GED

NCDHSR Alternative Exam
