Job summary

Mountain Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an Activity Assistant to aid the Activity Director in planning and conducting engaging activities for residents. You will help coordinate monthly calendars, organize group and individual activities, and ensure materials are available, including Braille or audio formats when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual, small, and large group activities.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendar and attendance records.
• Coordinate transportation for residents when needed (outings, appointments, discharge).
• Provide activity materials, including Braille or audio books as appropriate.
• Assist with assessment documentation and progress notes.
• Keep the Activity Department clean, orderly, and secure.
