Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living seeks a Resident Activity Engagement Coordinator (Finance) to plan and coordinate engaging programs for residents, in partnership with the community leadership team. The role emphasizes developing monthly activity calendars and organizing events that fosterWellbeing and social connection within the community.

The position requires coordinating with staff and residents, potentially driving a community vehicle, and ensuring programs align with Brookdale's person-centered

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs for adults.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required depending on the community.
  • Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a monthly calendar of resident activities in partnership with residents.
  • Collaborates with the community leadership team to plan, coordinate, and execute special events (holiday, family, educational, etc.).
  • Plans and schedules meaningful opportunities for resident engagement outside the community; may include driving a community vehicle.
  • Performs duties to ensure resident engagement and program success, supporting Brookdale's person-centered approach.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Education and Experience

A minimum of 1 year of direct experience with adults, coordinating, planning, and executing programs is required. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or other related field preferred. Leadership experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a commercial driver's license based on the needs of the community
