Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator (Finance) to support community programs for its residents. The role emphasizes planning, coordinating, and executing engaging activities with a focus on resident well-being and timely financial liaison tasks within the community.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of relevant experience with adults, a high school diploma (GED) and a preferred Bachelor's in related field.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license may be required depending on community needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develops monthly calendars in partnership with residents.
  • Collaborates with community leadership to plan and execute events.
  • Plans opportunities for resident engagement outside the community, including possible driving a community vehicle.
  • Utilizes a person-centered approach to foster connections and positive perceptions of aging.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Education and Experience

A minimum of 1 year of direct experience with adults, coordinating, planning, and executing programs is required. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or other related field preferred. Leadership experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a commercial driver's license based on the needs of the community

Makes standard and routine decisions based on detailed guidelines with use of independent judgment and discretion. Solves problems using clear, detailed guidelines or by reporting them to a supervisor.
