Lafayette Center in Franconia, NH, is seeking a creative Activities Assistant to plan, organize, and direct a program of activities that provides entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression, meeting residents' basic psychosocial and spiritual needs.

You will assist the Activities Director, interview residents or families for preferences, and coordinate transportation to activity locations within the facility while supporting residents’ physical, social, and mental well-being.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Activities Director in creating a monthly calendar of activities written in large print and posted in a prominent location that is visible to residents and visitors.
• Ensure that a copy of the monthly calendar of activities in placed in a prominent spot in each resident’s room.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity preferences.
• Coordinate and assist residents in getting to activity locations within the facility.
• Assist in conducting scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
• Document resident activity program attendance and ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided.
• Observe resident mood, behavior, and degree of involvement in facility activities and report changes to the Activities Director.
• Involve residents and families in planning activities when possible.
• Assist with conducting in-room activities programs for one-on-one visits.
• Coordinate activities needs and requests with other departments to ensure daily activities proceed without interruption.
• Assist with Resident/Family Council meetings as indicated.
• Assist the physically, emotionally, and cognitively impaired individual and family to explore avocation/leisure pursuits.
