Job summary

MediLodge of Grand Rapids is seeking a dedicated Resident Activity Assistant to organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions and group sessions.

You will document participation, help create monthly calendars, support well-being using biopsychosocial models, and collaborate with the activity director to foster community and resident engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the activity director as needed to implement programming.
• Utilize the environment to provide comfort and stimulation for residents.
• Foster a sense of community within the center.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Utilize diverse activity models (pet, music, art therapy) to tailor programs.
• Decorate for special events and prepare monthly calendars.
• Document participation and maintain activity records.
• Support resident well-being using biopsychosocial approaches.
• Offer comfort and support to residents and families as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
