Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in elderly care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.
• Must be able to lift up to 5 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs for residents.
• Lead or co-lead group and individual activities (games, arts, music, events).
• Encourage resident participation and tailor activities to abilities.
• Escort residents to activities inside and outside the facility.
• Document attendance and report changes to staff.
• Decorate the facility for holidays and special events.
• Communicate with residents, families, and staff.
• Ensure activities are conducted in a safe and respectful environment.
• Support resident-centered care and independence.
• Maintain activity equipment and supplies.
