Job summary

Wesleyan Health and Rehabilitation Center in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Activities Assistant for full-time evening shifts. You will develop and implement engaging activity programs, assist with evaluations, and collaborate with the Activities Director to serve residents.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED; CNA preferred. Strong computer skills, empathy, and teamwork are essential. Benefits include insurance, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• A valid CNA license is preferred.
• Knowledge of personal computers and software such as Word and Excel.
• Understand principles of best Activities practices.
• Patient, cheerful disposition and ability to engage residents.
• Discretion and HIPAA confidentiality; maintain privacy.
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement activity programs tailored to residents' backgrounds and interests.
• Assist in evaluating residents with the Activities Director based on interests and needs.
• Document activity plans and progress notes as directed.
• Plan and set up activities, gather supplies and arrange spaces.
• Develop and distribute monthly activity calendars and post them.
• Maintain facility newsletters and communications.
• Ensure safety, infection control and a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
