Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in West Virginia is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of patients and residents by planning, organizing and implementing engaging activities that address physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

You will contribute to monthly recreation therapy service design, document attendance and participation, and attend care plan meetings as needed, in a supportive team environment that values clear communication and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities for patients and residents.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
