Nottingham Village in Pennsylvania is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate an ongoing activities program. The role supports residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being and involves coordinating with nursing, social services, and other departments.

The position requires participation on weekends and holidays, driving responsibilities, and strong English communication. A high school diploma and a patient, empathetic demeanor are essential.

Formación

• Must possess a high school diploma and read/write/speak English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when required is essential.
• Great interpersonal skills and patience necessary to work with residents and families.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing activity programs for residents.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team care planning meetings as required by the Activity/Therapeutic Recreation Director.
• Participate in monthly Resident Council.
• Encourage resident involvement and education, including reading and religious activities as appropriate.
• Assist in providing in-room activities for residents who are confined to their rooms or prefer to stay in their rooms.
• Assist residents with activities they can pursue independently and help coordinate transportation for outings.
• Coordinate programs with other departments and inform residents about upcoming activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and document activity progress notes.
• Drive company vehicles for resident outings when required.
• Meet with administration and nursing staff to plan activities.
